Voice Description

I have a flexible, radio-quality baritone voice, naturally smooth and clear, but adaptable to characters, including voice acting children's characters. Good narration quality for professional presentations. I have performed on stage for many years and have effectively used Irish, British, and German accents in a variety of roles from comedy to serious drama, having a good ear for language sounds. I grew up with Spanish as a second language.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

British, Irish, and German accents in both serious and comedic treatments. Have done various characterizations on stage and for children's book readings, including being a children's "story teller" at George Washington's Mt. Vernon Estate.

My Voice Experience

In the "theatre of the absurd" known as Washington politics, I have used my voice of reason to sell ideas and concepts for legislative and regulatory influence as a lobbyist for four national organizations since 1976. Public speaking and media interviews were a must. During that time, I also was engaged in Washington area theatre, having played principal roles in dozens of plays and musicals.

My Training

I am fairly new to voice over work, having been encouraged to persue it by numerous theatrical and professional colleagues. My theatrical career extends to professional Hollywood work as a child and live stage work on both coasts as an adult thereby learning how to use my voice to bring a character to life without succumbing to caricature. I am a versatile actor that can carry a tune, which has resulted in my playing a wide variety of both leading and supporting roles in musicals, comedies, and dramas.
