Voice Description

I have a flexible, radio-quality baritone voice, naturally smooth and clear, but adaptable to character, including voice acting children's characters. Good narration quality and for professional presentations. I have performed on stage for many years and have effectively used Irish, British, and German accents in a variety of roles from comedy to serious drama, having a good ear for language sounds. I grew up with Spanish as a second language.

My Voice Experience

In the "theatre of the absurd" known as Washington politics, I have used my voice of reason to sell ideas and concepts for legislative and regulatory influence as a lobbyist for four national organizations since 1976. Public speaking and media interviews were a must. During that time, I also was engaged in Washington area theatre, having played principal roles in dozens of shows of all kinds.

My Training

I am new to voice over work, having been encouraged to persue it by numerous theatrical and professional colleagues. My theatrical career extends to professional Hollywood work as a child and live stage work on both coasts as an adult thereby learning how to use my voice to bring a character to life without succumbing to caricature. I am a character actor who can carry a tune, which has resulted in my playing a wide variety of both leading and supporting roles in musicals, comedies, and dramas.
