Voice Description

My voice is Northern Ireland but with a calm and gentle flavour, smooth and professional for presentations, warm and flexible for charcaterisation in children's story books.
I have an Irish accent but not overly pronounced.
I have almost twenty five years' experience as a school teacher.

My Voice Experience

I have worked with children for many years so my voice has been used to entertain, persuade, cajole and untangle. As a children's storyteller I can invent vocal charcaterisations to hold children in the palm of my hand with humour as a vital ingredient. I have scripted, performed, recorded and produced a radio ad for a local Council Rural Fair Day using colloquial, rural dialogue within a 30 second short story. I also did a three minute TV slot for BBC Voices campaign in 2003 in which I played Trombone to camera and spoke about the uniqueness of my voice and heritage.

My Training

I Have a BA Hons degree in Media Communication Studies / Journalism.
I have an Open University Diploma in Music.
I own a recording studio in which I writeand record original music. I have written music for Television 'Westway' Productions 'Lesser Spotted Ulster' showing within the northern Ireland Region.

This is a new Pitch for me in terms of soliciting voice over material but it is a quite natural progression from the career path that I ahve been thus far travelling.
