Voice Description
I prefer to think of my voice as "chameleon-like", in that I can make it whatever is called for by the client. In it's natural form,it has been described as "distinctive baritone". But, if the job calls for it, it can morph easily into a little old Granny. For straight announcing or narration, I use it smooth and well-enunciated. Capable of a believable Southern dialect.

My Voice Experience
Majority of my experience has been in Radio and Television, where I voiced many, many commercials and narrated a number of projects as well as "booth announcing". I ended my career at the United States Information Agency where I used my vocal talents to do voice-over on thousands of news stories and documentaries which were used world-wide. I was recognized as one of the best cold-readers. Have also spent a few years as voice talent, recording books for the blind.
My Training
No formal voiceover training. I grew up mimicing the voices I heard every day on the radio. By the time I graduated from high school, I knew I could do the job at least as well as the "big-time" voices. Attended one voice-over class when I was an AFTRA member in Wash. DC.

Additional Skills
Most of my working career was spent as a technician in Radio and Television. Since retiring, I've been able to indulge myself by becoming active in the theater. One of my favorite roles was as one of the voice over actors for the local college's production of "Twain by The Tale". I got to do 3 male voices as well as 2 female plus a horse, donkey and parrot.
