Voice Description
I've been told that my voice sounds/can sound like a clash between Clancy Brown and Wolfman Jack, among others.
In as few words as possible, I feel that my voice is/can be: deep, smooth, sexy (as I've heard from many a female, lol...), rich, professional, articulate, authorative, commanding, informing & precise.
I'd love for you to take a listen and tell me how/whom you think I sound like. =)

My Voice Experience
I became interested in radio broadcasting in the early to mid 80s, having been brought up in and around the wonderful world of music within family and amongst many talented friends. I sought out many DJs and musicians in clubs and taverns, studying the workings of various recording/studio gear and learning how to play many different instruments, becoming more involved with percussion instruments, such as bass guitar & drums.
From there, I became proficient with the intricacies of radio broadcasting, going to live remotes (hosted by local radio stations) and visiting radio studios to see what being a radio personality was all about.
In 1993, I received my first big break in radio broadcasting quite untraditionally. I and one of my roommates started a pirate radio station out of our apartment in Arizona, KCUF 107.5 on the FM dial. We had everything we needed in the way of equipment, but needed an extra hand in manufacturing a transmitter to broadcast our signal. Along came an acquaintance with the technical aptitude for the task.
A micro-transmitter was hooked up to a Carvin 16 track mixer with coaxial cable running from the back of it to an FM antenna on the roof of their apartment. We were LIVE ON THE AIR! In the midst of creating and running our station, my roommate and I sought out proper radio licensing and a location for our new studio. Being on the threshold of beginning a new & legal radio station, our engineers kidneys failed him, leaving him to the mercy of a dialysis machine 3 times daily, and our business liaison headlining off to college, with the originators of the station left on our own.
In the years between, passions for the paranormal started to grow within me, having many other worldly experiences during my life. I then moved back to my home state of Wisconsin, producing radio shows & spots for a combination of non-profit/paranormal FM/on line radio stations.
See list below for some of some of my work in past years.

Additional Skills
I guess you could say that I am the 360 degree opposite of Mike Rowe, having been employed in some of the worst jobs ever, (non-radio related that I'll go into some other time or upon request.)
I feel that the best jobs that I've ever had have assisted me in the arenas of public relations, including customer service and satisfaction...
I'm also an artist dealing with mixed media/mediums (preferring chalk & charcoal pastels, colored pencil, pencil, pen & ink) producing pieces such as:
Realistic portraits/murals of people, pets, still life...Fantasy pieces, etc.
I'm truly happiest when I am able to lend my creative attributes in and with any project, especially cooking! =)
In the end, I find that my creative/artistic abilities are very conducive & therapeutic in attaining my future achievements.
