Voice Description

I have a rich mature baritone voice with a great degree of flexibility. My voice can range from deep sexy tones, instructional narration to a variety of accents, ages and characters. The variety of voices I offer have been developed and sharpened over 25 years in local and regional commercial work for radio and TV. I speak English, some Spanish, German, and Gallic. My accent inventory includes WWII German U-boat Commander, Greek butcher, Scottish Highlander, English butler or gentleman, old cowboy or prospector, gangster wise guy, Irish rogue, Walter Cronkite newscaster, John Wayne, Boris Karloff, Chinese waiter, Italian pizza maker, sportscaster, juvenile voices and others.

My Voice Experience

My professional broadcasting, including radio show hosting and commercial production experience started in 1978. This includes, 5 years in the country Radio market with KPLS Country Plus, Santa Rosa, Ca., two years in the AOR market with KMLS FM (the original Kamel)and 5 years with NPR affiliate KRCB FM Santa Rosa, Ca. From 1992 to 2002 I voiced and produced many 30/60 second Voice Overs for radio & TV. In addition to voice over projects, I’ve also completed spot copywriting and production for radio. Other skills include some master control experience for TV; writing, narrating and co producing instructional video projects. As a radio show interviewer I have hosted interviews, including unveiling debut C.D.s with a variety of recording artists, including, but not limited to: Ronnie Montrose, Merle Haggard, George Strait, The Judd’s, Laurence Juber, Doyle Dykes, The Hagar twins, Doug Kershaw, Leona Boyd, Muriel Anderson, Thom Bresh and Buster B. Jones, John Stowell, and Mimi Fox. Additionally, I I designed and co-produced an instructional video presently in circulation with the astronomy department at the Santa Rosa Jr. College planetarium. My Training

Since 1978, I have learned my craft through the rich diversity of three radio markets, Cable TV media commercial production, and hosting/producing my own radio shows for PBS affiliate KRCB FM, Santa Rosa, Ca. Founding cast member (1969)of the nationaly famous SRT (Summer Rep. Theater) of the Santa Rosa Jr. College, Santa Rosa, California.

I am a published songwriter and ASCAP member. My Celtic song (Hooligan's Dream) is scheduled to appear in a movie coming from Spain entitled, "Thread of Glass" or "Hilo de Cristal" by Grial Producciones.
I currently perform music as a signer/guitarist in the California North Bay, offering a repertoire of blues, jazz, Latin and Celtic music and songs. My current CD, "Woodbine; Moonlight Memory," includes a few of my styles in an acoustic format with rich male/female vocals. A copy of this CD is available upon request and my original compositions are available for commercial use.
