Voice Description

I am, unfortunately unable to afford the 'smartcast level' despite the fact that my voice is used on numerous occasions. I am familiar with character rolls, my voice has a deep resonance that can either reflect a somber tone or warm and kind. I can go to authoritve or depicting a large clumsy happy character.
Hey I can go sexy or revert to a professional tone. In other words I can bounce my voice to suit a wide range of presentations!!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can bend my accent to work with light Irish, South African (Zulu or Afrikaans). American (in short scripts), Italian, Australian and basic Scottish. I am always learning and picking up the art through film, theatre and Voice Over projects.

My Voice Experience

I started in Zimbabwe in the early 90's for British Airways, telling the story of the mighty Victoria Falls. Other projects included TV adverts where my voice was used to describe a number of audio visual products. The southern African region staged a yearly Agricultural Trade Fair. I used to do the voice overs for announcements etc as well as plugging pre-recorded VO's for companys advertising at this fair. I was a TV presenter and often had my voice recorded for program 'line-ups' and adverts etc. I would back-announce for international artists performing in concerts or shows in Zimbabwe. When I came to UK in 2000 I explored my options but more recently did a character VO for a woman in London who is compiling a story DVD to release on the internet and in retail points around UK. DONE IT ALL BUT NOT SLOWING DOWN!!

My Training

Voice over work was done through the influence of my father originally. I attended workshops and taught myself with the influence of proffessional artists in Africa.

Additional Skills

My world of experience in film and theatre was merely a means of developing my ability to then present on TV, give public appearances supporting company projects or promotions. Voice Over work has been part of that recipe in striving to be a good marketeer!
