I've worked in Boston radio for 13 years, and I've been on-air since '96 (retired from radio in 2007). I know what sounds right. I understand the importance of rate, pitch, and inflection. I appreciate the fact that a voice can add to (or detract from!) your project (just think of Morgan Freeman in March of the Penguins).
In addition, I've taught Public Speaking at a Massachusetts college. Speaking before a microphone or a group of people is something I'm comfortable with...and crave.
In terms of voice-over work, I've voiced radio and television commercials, interactive CDs, and marketing DVDs.
My training has been on the job--I started working for a Boston radio station at the tender age of 21. Now I'm 36. I've worked under some incredible voice talents in the business--and learned so much from them.
As a copywriter, I often write audio scripts (especially for radio spots). This gives you an added benefit--I can help you tweak the copy so that it sounds just right. Or if you're ever in a pinch, we can work out a deal where I write and voice the copy.
