My Voice Experience
Various opportunities have always seemed to find me. While working on the assembly line at a bus factory, I'd always be singing a song or immitating someone in the factory. Most often people would come visit my work station to be entertained. I once cleared out close to forty-five people by mimicking the fire alarm. I recieved an official warning for that one! :) In college I was a DJ for a mock radio station which led to a real DJ job at a local roller rink as a teen. I've done a stand-up routine for a Christmas party which went very well. I think the most experience I've had in voice over work is just in real life. In entertaining the people I meet and come in contact with on a regular basis. Every single one of them has told me that I should be in show business, I just don't know how to go about it....... Hopefully this is a step in the right direction
My Training
I'm actually a singer by nature. I adore the power of music. My voice is very powerful so I love to manipulate it to do very powerful things.
My training is strictly by watching television as a kid. This influence was huge as I've adapted more than 80 characters, sound affects and accents and the list continues to grow. Discovering the ability to "scream" (practice)with the best of them in the basement of my childhood home as a teen for 14 hours at a time with the classic rockers. Going to Bible College for one year introduced me more to choral-type music where I found my part in the Bass section. The conductor chose me for a Low "D" part which only I could reach. I since have led singing in my church for the past 18+ yrs. with various quartets and solo works taking place.
