My Voice Experience
I use to be a radio disc jockey, until I realized that I had to eat food instead of beer. I was straight out of college and being a communications major from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I figured why not give it a shot. I moved on to become a sales manager, disc jockey, copy writer, and producer. Sounds great doesn't it? Only problem being that the station was in a town with about 300 people. I think the station was maybe 1000 watts. I don't know maybe more. Basically I was reading the commercial and holding and pushing the play button on the CD player for the background music. Not real studio quality. Moved on to radio sales at WBT-Radio in Charlotte, North Carolina. Couldn't break into the voice over business, so I got lured into the Microsoft Cert. program. Currently, working as a computer monkey, but still believe I have skills.
My Training
No formal training. Self taught. Reading James Alburger's book "The Art of Voice Acting".
