My Voice Experience
I first began work in the voice-over industry recording a weekly audio news report at the Actuapresse studios in Belgium during the 1990s. I have done specific voice-overs for the European Commission in Brussels, notably, promoting the Erasmus project for the Bureau internationale pour la jeunesse. In the social field I also helped devise, interview and narrate on a number of Belgium indymedia radio documentaries. Since returning to the United Kingdom I have completed a three-month voice-over and theatre for radio course at the City Lit College in London, which I finished in December 2010.
My Training
After acting in community theatre for many years in the United Kingdom and Belgium (as well as making a number of small films), I decided to return to the UK to train professionally as an actor. After receiving an above average report at the Poor School in London, I decided that the Acting Studio, Morley College was more appropriate for providing me with the training I was searching for and I finished my training in June 2010. I have a BA (Hons) from the University of West of England and a PGCE from the University of Greenwich and have taught students, refugees and immigrants from a variety of different backgrounds ranging from judges to journalists, army officers and housewives. For the past sixteen years I have also worked as a staff and freelance translator (French and Spanish into English) and regularly undertake copywriting commissions.
My Studio Equipment
Additional Skills
I have excellent improvisational skills and as well as picking up accents quickly, I also get a handle on characters I am playing in the studio or in the theatre very rapidly. I am adaptable, hardworking and have a good imagination. Any task I undertake I do so with commitment and enthusiasm.
