I was the track announcer at Hollywood Park in 1973. My boss called me and said "Lynn Stahlmaster & Associates" needs a track announcer to do a voice over for "Little Miss Marker", starring Walter Matthau, Julie Andrews and Tony Curtis. So, I showed up at the studio on time and watched while about six people tried to do it. The producer asked "is the guy from the track here yet"? I replied that "I was". He then said "ok, your up". I did the voice over and he said "can you do that again"? Yes. "Okay, everyone else can leave"!!! One take and I was on my way to the golf course!! I thought was rather funny. I also did the v/o in "On the Right Track" with the late Gary Coleman.
I have announced over 75,000 horse races and quite a few of them were aired on NBC, CBC and ESPN. I hosted horse racing shows on KTLA Channel 9 in LA, Home Team Sports in Washington, DC., and on MSG in NYC.
I have also done commercial work, as well.
I went to Columbia School of Broadcasting and trained at ARN in Hollywood, CA where I was very well received my the instructors.

Besides being an announcer for over 30 years, I have been in upper level race track management. Therefore, I think I have a very good understanding of what is need by customer in business.
