Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Spanish is my native tongue. My accent is perfectly neutral international Spanish. I have read poetry and narrative on the radio. My English accent is, too, a neutral international (British) accent.
I have successfully read stories for children, that may be my voice's best dramatical condition, since I am good at imitating voices, noises and animal voices, as well.

My Voice Experience

I was trained as an opera singer in my youth, although I haven't sung on stage. My devotion to music and literature have brought me to conduct my own classical music programmes and, more recently, one devoted to literature and poetry.

My Training

I do not have a college degree but studied biology in my city Quito, Ecuador and worked extensively on the fields of ecology and conservation. I spent two years in two American Universities (University of Arizona and University of Idaho) as a guest student in conservation subjects. The last twelve years I have worked as a part time high school teacher in Science related fields and as a translator (Spanish to English and English to Spanish) for international magazines.
My voice experience has primarily remained a hobby activity, basically used in my own radio programmes. Over the last two years I have increased this activity as I keep a daily radio programme (narrative and poetry) and a weekly space devoted to art music.

My Studio Equipment

I don't have a radio studio, but I am learning and producing my own shows. I have a Mac pro set, microphones and audio edition software (Reason and Digital Performer). I do have access to professional studios if necessary and have use them several times.

Additional Skills

I guess that my best asset now is the fact that no other voice professional in my area (Ecuador) has any bilingual skills to match mine, since I can provide both text and simultaneous translation, and can offer professional-like voice results both in Spanish and English.
