My Voice Experience

As you might gather from my demo, I've done voice overs for products ranging from a wild and wacked out Kool Aid spot to a more sober public service message for Childhood Obesity (no connection, I can assure you. The Kool Aid was sugar free.) My New York pedigree was called upon for a spot for Iams Cat, in the role of Muffins (a very tough New York cat), my real-life dad perspective for Citibank, my love for, ahem, rubber, in a Bridgestone tires spot, and for mid-day chocolate snacks for Balance Bar.

My Training

Acting Training includes a BA in Theatre from UCLA.

In New York, I studied with Lee Strasberg and Wynn Handman, who runs the American Place Theatre and directed John Leguizamo and Eric Bogosian, where I got to develop character pieces for the stage.

I got a Masters in Screenwriting from USC Film School, which has actually helped immeasurably in writing and developing voice over copy.

I studied advanced voice over technique with Rick Zieff, who is well-known as a top director, producer and voice over artist.

I have also studied voice over with Gary Miereanu, who has worked at Warner Brothers, among others.

Additional Skills

I have been a professional actor, standup comedian, improv performer and screenwriter for nearly 20 years. I have done numerous commercials on air as well, including most recently a NFL spot which ran this past season.

I also have been a musician - piano, primarily - and consider all of the art forms I mentioned integrally linked, an extension of the other. I consider the best thing about me is my ear. An ear for dialogue and voices and how something should be communicated and as I say they are all linked, because it's all about communication.
