My Training

I began my career in 1976.
I am a career actor/writer who has worked in the United States and Australia in Theater, Film, Radio, Television.
BA English and Philosophy, Guilford College, Greensboro, NC (2010). I have Written Radio and Television Copy and Content, Comedy, Short Film, Educational Programming. I am a founding member of The Transactors Improv Theatre, Teacher of Improvisation for Actors and Comedians, and A Painless Introduction to Acting Technique. I have Directed and Produced Radio. I have Directed Stage, Cabaret, Improv, TV Commercials, Music Video, Short Film. I am a dialect and dialog coach (Stage and Screen).
As well, I have written extensively about the art of film and film study.

I am poised, calm, and at ease in tense production situations. I am punctual. I HAVE NEVER MISSED A DEADLINE. I am an amazingly quick study who deftly takes direction. I am told I am "extremely funny and good to have around." I am not precious nor forward, but care a great deal for gracious decorum and keen wit. I can take a ribbing. I know when to press a point, but better still, when to quit. I can work with anyone (and have). The very, very difficult and demanding, only once (unless they're utterly charming).
I am here for the client. I will offer advice or an opinion--only when asked--and then, I am honest, but diplomatic, kind, direct, and above all germane. My fees can run high but I deliver seamless work with little or no need for abundant takes unless it is the clients pleasure (some just like to watch me jump those hoops I like to brag about). Hire me and you will have very little editing to do. But please, pay promptly. Once we establish a rapport we can discuss extending credit.
I have a prodigious general knowledge, and a better than average knowledge of Art, History, Literature, and Philosophy: I talk real good.
