My Voice Experience
I am a believer in theatre of the mind. I started off doing voices for a my own comedy Los Angeles radio show in the 70's. There I developed numerous character voices, bantering back and forth between them, as "in-studio" folks, characters in comedy bits, voice overs for radio show announces, reading the news, etc. I then became a television writer, but did several voice overs as needed - for Paramount's "Sister,Sister" '97, as an example, as a cop on a news show, for an NBC Productions pilot, as a television news reporter. I also have a knack for "noises" - punch, guitar, sproinggggg, as used on Embassy TV's "Silver Spoons" '86. I currently have a radio show on www.shokusradio.com called "Funny is Money" ('07-'08), where I generally do a straight voice but also do a number of produced comedy "bits", wherein I do the voice of Walter Winchell in a bit called "Dead Gossip", and numerous other characters famous and not.
