Voice Description

I have been working in television for nearly six years now, and I have been told time and again that I have a great voice for not only television, but also for radio and voice-over work. My personality is one that is very outgoing and the voices I can portray with that personality are rather dynamic. I can be a funny, joking voice. I can be a serious voice. I can even be a scary voice if need be. I often find myself talking to my friends and changing my voice around a bit depending on the situation. I do a lot or writing and have been told I read extremely well, and with feeling and depth. So, I guess what I am trying to say in this little diatribe is that I can be pretty versatile in terms of the types of voice-over work I would be capable of doing. In working for television, I have done plenty of live work, but have also done numerous packages in which I edit my own voice track into the story, as well as adding music to those stories, all of which I edited myself. My Voice Experience

Having worked in television (currently at WFXL in Albany, Georgia) for nearly six years now, I have done plenty of work in terms of not only live television, but also numerous packages in which I shot, wrote, voiced over, added music tracks to, and edited my own pieces. Most of the stories that I wrote were the feel-good type of story, including one called "Southwest Georgia Journeys" that was a year-long series of stories in which I profiled small towns all across southwest Georgia. Another series that I did was called "Creature Features" in which I profiled an animal in either the aquarium or the zoo here in Albany, Georgia. So, I have had plenty of experience in recording audio tracks. Not only that, but audio tracks that tell a compelling story.

My Training

As mentioned in my voice-over experience section. I have done numerous packages in which I shot, wrote, voiced over, added music tracks to, and edited my own pieces. I did do community theater for many years as a child, and I have been on television for nearly six years, which certainly involves quite a bit of voice work.

My Studio Equipment

I use a Gateway 433c computer with an EV N/D 3088 microphone. I also use a Fostex Line Amplifier (Model 5030) and a Symetrix voice processor.

Additional Skills

I have worked in live television for nearly six years. That in and of itself entails a lot of live voice work. However, I have also done numerous story packages in which I shot, wrote, voiced over, added music tracks to, and edited my own pieces. Outside of that, I am always talking. I am a very outgoing person with a boisterous personality...and the voice to match.
