Voice Description

During my 47 years as an Attorney handling Civil and Criminal cases, I have used various voice variations in order to demand, plead, beg, threaten, advise, and insinuate. I have taught "Introduction to Law and Procedure," which requires considerable changes and ranges in my voice to keep the interest of the sleepers, dreamers, gigglers, and inert students that must have constant variation, articulation, and anectodotal presentations to get the message. Some of the material could be considered a "narration," in order to use the exact words of rules or statutes. I believe I have the ability to present commercial messages so that the listener remembers the "message" on a primacy and recency basis, with the "message bell continuing to ring after the message is complete. I believe that I can keep a group interested in the material I would be presenting, by voice changes, emotional content, and articulation so that even the barrier of the least interested will be penetrated and the message will be heard and remembered, and enjoyed.

My Voice Experience

Although I have no recorded for "voiceovers," I have appeared in Court to make oral arguments before Juries. This experience, I believe, equipments me to recognize the fact that the messages must be articulated in a direct, clear, and concise manner. Repeating the message with a different tone, volume, and inflections, reinforces the message. As a teacher, I was able to study the attention habits of my students, and create ways to first get their attention, keep their attention, and have them immediatly absorb the message. Short pauses were used to allow them put the message in context. I believe that my traing, although not yet recorded for voiceovers, will allow me to quickly learn how to take direction, accept criticism, and to repeat recording the message until it is presentable as a commercial, a narration, a documentary, a story for adults or children.
I have taught law enforcement officers for 47 years. Many voiceover techniques were used. I realize that much of what I have covered would be considered, "So what," I am interested in pursuing the classes, coaching, and other requirements that will provide me with some level voiceovers employment opportunities.

My Training

University of Minnesota, 1958, BA-SLA
Florida State University, 1959, MS-Criminology
Stetson University of Law,1962
Adjunct Professor teaching law
Teaching Law Enforcement Officers
Mediator in State and Federal Courts
I appreciate that many "academic" types are more drone, and anal, than interesting. I believe that I have jumped the necessary hurdles,to hurdle to overcome the perception of dullness vagueness. In order to convice a Jury the voice must be used as the primary instrument of persuasion. A good argument can be heard, and convince, even if the speaker is not seen.
I do have the confidence, I have the ability, I need the coaching, direction, and opportunity. "Lets roll!"

My Studio Equipment

HP Lap top computer.
Speakers can be purchased.
A microphone interface can be purchased.
A michrophone large diaphram can be purchased.
I have the available space for my own little studio.
I have a rapper friend that could provide musical backup.

Additional Skills

I believe I have covered my skills. I just re-read my previous answers and do not want to move from interested and confident, to arrogant. Sooo, I believe that is it unless there are specific questions that you have for me.
