My Voice Experience
Been working in radio broadcasting for the past 5 years. I am the Production Director for five stations. I cut and produce many spots daily. Ranging from car dealerships, farm implement/seed dealers, retail stores, sports bars, local events, concert promotions, etc. I have a home studio as well so work hours are very flexible. In the past five years I have produced complete spot campaigns. I have been the voice for a local car dealership for the past two years in which I voice and produce spots weekly. Coming from a small market, with minimal access to out of house voice talent, I have had to modify my voice to take on several different characters. I spend the majority of my time producing unique ear catching radio spots.
My Training
I was active in speech in high school, and some speech in college. For the past five years I have been working as the Production Director for five radio stations. I have learned by working with other voice talents here that outsource their voice for national use. Was able to hone my speaking ability through experience. I mainly focus here on doing great production work for regional advertisers. I have done outsourced production work for other businesses and am willing to continue to make my production talents available to others.
My Studio Equipment
I work in a fully outfitted sound controlled studio. I use a Sennheiser 421 (full-bodied cardioid pattern) microphone with a Stedman Proscreen 101. Allen & Heath GL2000-32 Live Console and a TC Helicon Processor. Use a Windows based PC running Adobe Audition 1.5 and 2.0. At the studio I have a 200+ disc music bed library and an extensive SFX library to utilize for production. I have a T1 line at the studio with access to FTP.
I also have a sound controlled home studio. I use an Electro-Voice RE20 Dynamic Cardioid microphone with a Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 16-Channel Powered Mixer. Using a Windows based PC running Adobe Audition 1.5 and 2.0. DSL internet connection. I own a SFX library and have access to a 200+ disc extensive music bed library for production. Fully outfitted with additional equipment to handle any thing up to a full band recording session. I also offer my services for outsourced production work, taking your direction on theme, music, SFX, and voice talents. Hear some of my work in the demos section.
Additional Skills
I have a wide variety of uses for my voice. Working in a small market I am constantly challenging myself to the fill the role the client wants conveyed in their spot. We have a small staff so I have been everything from a trucker, small child, stern father, crazy clown, excited auto advertiser, cowboy, farmer, surfer dude, etc. And of course my own self with regular delivery or read. I have extensive experience working with Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Audition 1.5, and Adobe Audition 2.0. I have produced full ad campaigns for businesses.
I also have a home/portable studio in which I spend a lot of time recording live music and mastering demos. I am available for outsourced production work as well. Hear some of my production work in the demos section.
