Voice Description
Since I am an alto, my voice is a bit higher than most voice over talents but, that hasn't stopped me from doing voice overs.
Of late, I have been mimicking the voice of Chico Marx which I think was unique in itself for the word play that was used in the late Marx Bros. movies. I think that the interplay between Groucho and Chico, was outstanding and could be a great source of entertainment for use in commercials. I also do french dialect and east Indian dialect and english cockney.

My Voice Experience
In the past I did clothing commercials for the Infinity Graphics Inc. of Sarasota, Florida of different characters such as John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Boris Karloff, Bella Lugosi, and Walter Brennan. At one point we were going to do an ad that incorporated the mickey mouse voice but, because of copywrite laws, we were not able to do that particular voice.
This was in the early part of the 1970's.
Today I find myself making characters of voices of people I have met that have extreme voice characteristics. In that perspective, I have come up with some rather unique voices.
My Training
Most of my voice characterazations were learned at a company called "Total television talents", that were located in New York. My job in those days(before computation) was to do write ins for the main voice character actors who were not able to do the rewrites for editing. Characters were Bullwinkle, George of the jungle, Itchy and Biggy rat, and last but not least Dudley Dooright.

Additional Skills
During the twentieth century in 1984, I took a course in television production which opened a whole new venue into the aspects of writing copy. In the retrospect, I also learned of the use of vocal occillators which can be used to change the timber of the human voice.
I purchased a used harmonizer and, it proved some amazing results.
On one commercial, I was able to sound incredibly like Al Capp. Recently, I just purchased a voice effects system called the voice works"which provided even more amazing results than the first item I had purchased. Now, when it comes to doing voice character parts for cartoons; this machine adds a whole new dimension.
