My Voice Experience

My first audio experience as a kid came from doing comedy sketches into a cheap tape recorder, mostly impressions of characters in the neighborhood. Then I went from announcing high school football games to my first DJ job, to Armed Forces radio, to a mass communications degree from U of I, to instructor at a broadcasting school, to TV news anchor. After trying to get jobs with voice greats Ken Nordeen and Dick Orkin and auditioning for Second City in Chicago, I finally decided to start my own recording studio. Hence, here I am. By the way, it's nice to work in your underwear.

Please see "Experience" I can only add that most of what I've learned came from watching the big guys do it, then trying to do it myself...over and over....and, well you know the rest.

Additional Skills

I'm currently an on-camera Actor for TV commercials, features and documentaries. Radio DJ, Radio drama actor, Stage actor, TV News anchor, did books on tape as well as voiceovers for animated commercials. Other voice over artist skills include: humorous radio ads, voicemail messages, on hold messages, greetings, web voices, celebrity impressions and cartoon characters. I used to be a singing drummer in a rock band but can't remember too much about that.
