Voice Description
For straight narrations I sound clear and professional, but always can put a smile in the voice to warm things up. Commercials are all over the map, from Mr. Everyman to silly, high camp. I was in radio for several years during the 80's, and was always told that women in particular liked my voice. Not sure why, but that's what they said.

My Voice Experience
During the past two decades free-lancing in the Pacific Northwest, I've done voice work for a large list of clients. Just to list a few, in no particular order: Microsoft, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Amgen, Weyerhaeuser, R.E.I., Farmers Insurance, Safeco, the Seattle Times, and the State of Washington.
My Training
I have a BS in business, with an emphasis in marketing and economics. Then, during the 80's, I worked in radio, largely as a sportscaster. Go figure. I have also acted extensively on stage (including musicals!), as well as in commercials, TV, and a couple of feature films. Claim to fame: I got to do a scene with Robert DeNiro in "Men of Honor" in the late 90's, as well as an episode of "Northern Exposure" during its final season.
In more recent years I've had the opportunity to do a lot of medical-related work, including moderating a series of programs (live and recorded) for various clients.
My Studio Equipment
I just recently built a new home, and set aside a large closet space specifically for a studio. I had it soundproofed (as best I could), and then hired an engineer from Microsoft Studios to help me set it up. I use a Rode NT1-A mic, and record to Pro Tools 9, which I run on my Mac.
