Voice Description
My voice, although mature in it's normal state, has a very broad range. It can be deep and warm for narrations; energetic, exciting, fun or sexy for commercials; believable, authoritative, smooth and professional for presentations; Tough or husky for trailers. People have told me I possess a gift for mimicry. I can do accents that include Australian, British, Italian, Russian, folksy Southern U.S., Cajun and dozens of cartoon voices.

My Voice Experience
For over 27 years I've worked in radio and television broadcasting and production which eventually branched out to include all the areas listed above. I started out using the old reel to reel machines before digital audio became commonplace. I honed my editing skills with a splicing block and razor blade back when audio producers were "reel" men. (How sweet computers are!) My productions have been used to sell products and services over the air, in video presentations at Bass Pro Shops, voicemail recordings and Arabian horse promotions on the Internet.
My Training
I've lost track of how much money I spent on attending NAB conventions across the U.S. over the years. Even though there was a wealth of training and information on broadcast programming at those conventions I couldn't keep myself out of the voiceover production seminars. I learned that working in a non-visual medium really put my "Theater of the Mind" abilities to the test. I studied music at Louisiana Tech university and was a violinist in the Ruston Civic Symphony Orchestra. This led me to a love of musical composition which is still a part of my voice over busines since many of my productions contain my original musical compositions. Community theater and outdoor drama did its part to help me cultivate my voice acting skills.

Additional Skills
Want something truly original? I compose original musical works using Propellerheads Reason and Image Line's FL Studio (my favorite). I can do all sorts of songs and jingles including hard hitting productions for car dealers, soft and elegant, industrial, etherial or whatever. But my specialty is children's songs. I am the producer for "Teams of Tomorrow", a multi-level basketball handling and dribbling skills curriculum for children. It consists of a series of CD's that actually use my voice to teach the skills to the children.
