Voice Description

I can sound very hard-edged and big, like a monster truck announcer. Concert spots are my strongpoint. I can also do the laid-back, pleasant and friendly announcer. I can immitate some celebrities, like Jack Nicholson, as our voices are similar.

I have a very effective "intense" voice as I like to call it. A great forceful delivery for important intense spots, like car sales etc.

My Voice Experience

I left radio nearly two years ago after working for WAQX-FM in Syracuse for 2 years and WTKW-FM (8 years) as an afternoon drive jock and production director for a five-station cluster. I left on my own, as I decided to head back to college.

My voice has been heard on many formats and I can adjust well. I have voiced thousands of commercials, phone answering systems and in-store intercom messages. I have done some television voiceover work as well.

My voice and personality was always quite popular with clients and I was requested often as the voice of their businesses.

I have interviewed scores of rock artists, including: Roger Waters, Dave Davies, John Paul Jones, Pat Benatar, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Jethro Tull, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Allman Brothers, Ray Manzarek, Aerosmith and many more.

My Training

I began my communications career in high school, unlike many others, as we had a radio station program. I was taught by a local radio legend about journalism and proper usage of my voice. The voice was good then, and got rave reviews, and has only gotten better as I've worked in the industry.

I am a good judge of copy and can adapt to nearly any style. If it's upbeat, downbeat, happy, melancholy, intense and fiery or a simple flat read, I can do it (and have done it).
