My Voice Experience

I am a comical storyteller and I don't get nervous when reading for parts when I know what is expected of me. I understand that rejection is a part of this profession, but the doors are opening wider everyday for voice-over talents to break new heiths, especially with the ever-expanding cable channels. Can you imagine the need for our talents??!!!! Commercials help support various television shows. I am bound and determined to help meet the need. I am pleaseant to deal with, and I am good at voice-over talents. When in class, I am usually the one the instructor chooses to read an exerpt form a magazine, book, ect,. Again, I read with expression.

My Training

Voice over acting is a new carreer for me. I am a registered nurse-working psyche right now on a travel job right here in sunny Southern Cal. I have attended numerous seminars at the church of scientology in Hollywood, Ca. I was told by Mr. Meskimen (Marion Ross's son!) that I had the potential and seemed to be headed down the right road!!! Attended throughout 2005. I have also taken journalism and communication classes as elective courses while in college many years ago in Wichita, Ks. Once I get going on a steady basis, this will be my new career. I will be good at this and am looking forward to a life of fulfillment and success as a voice-over actress/professional!!!!

At this time , my professional career predomiantly spans the medical profession, as I am an RN-travel nurse. My first assignment was in Sylmar, Ca., but I resided in N Hollywood and became quickly familiar with Hollywood Blvd where I got in touch with a talent agent. They were more interested in casting me for tv roles than helping me pursue a career in voice-over acting. My travel nurse job, 1 1/2 yrs later transferred me out of the area where I now reside in Bakersfield, Ca, which is an hour and 45 minutes away from Los Angeles. So I am still around. I sing (in church), and write poetry. I am friendly and have a good strong voice that explodes with expression depending on what the job itself demands. I have taken some drama classes in college and was told by instructors I have an expressive voice. I can speak with a British accent pretty well.
