Voice Description

I have a wide range. I'm somewhere between the rich, deep toned professional sounding announcer and the boy, criminal, strange foreign pervert or dog next door. Meaning: I can do straight announcer and fun crazy characters.

As they suggest here on how to fill out this form, I can do "warm and deep for narrations, sexy and fun for commercials, smooth and professional for presentations, etc."

Truth is I've always been told that my voice has an intelligent and very likable quality that people are attracted to and that people just naturally believe anything I say. Which is amusing because I am bone stupid, I have a horrible personality and I am a big liar. I'm a quick study who can learn highly academic or technical information and spew it out convincingly like I know what I'm talking about. Perhaps that explains my success in advertising.

My Voice Experience

I am an experienced advertising writer, producer and creative director who over the years has created many national radio campaigns, TV campaigns, videos, demos, etc. Having a decent voice I've jumped behind the mic to lay down scratch tracks and demos many times. Throughout my career coworkers and clients have remarked on my voice and many times it became the choice of clients after comparing my demos to auditions from voice casters.

I have performed for Budweiser, Bud Light, United Van Lines, PayDay Candy Bars, Casa Gallardo, Purina Mills, Novus International, etc.

My Training

I didn't ride a bike til I was eight, but in college I studied theatre, stage acting, mass communications, film making and audio studio recording.

I have been a professional (on the side) Rock/R&B tenor and bari sax player and vocalist in my own band and in concert with many national acts. I produced and played sax on several national and regional releases and ad campaigns.

I directed the creation and production of all the Budweiser Music Radio, Budweiser Sports Humor Radio, and Budweiser Contemporary Adult TV for 7 years. I directed, wrote and produced the Bud Light Spotlight and Bud Light Live TV, Radio and Internet campaigns for 5 years. I've worked with the best suppliers and talents available in the advertising business (including many celebrities,) so I can at least kinda imitate some of the stuff they do.

My Studio Equipment

A Mac based system with Garage Band, Final Cut Pro, AKG 414, Sennheiser 421, Shure SM 58 microphones.

I am 10 minutes from 3 high end audio studios: Avatar Studios, Technisonic Studios and 90 Degrees West. They have all the technical recording and transmitting goodies available today and audio engineers of the highest professional level. They know me and will squeeze me in on short notice.
