My Voice Experience

I have had 10 years experience as a stage actor, and 5 years experience doing various voice work.
I have done much creative reading and improvisational story telling for adults and children including Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" in which I used over 20 character voices.
I have recorded numerous instructional documents and official letters. I am a regular reader at religious events: I am often asked to read the story behind the Holy Day because I make it interesting and exciting.

My Training

In addition to extensive training as an actor, I studied vocal production, tone and breathing with John O'Keefe of the (former) Blake Street Hawkeyes in Berkeley CA. In diction and vocal expression courses, I learned how to create any phoneme or variation of a phoneme and how to use these sounds to express feelings or subtext, or to master an accent.

Additional Skills

I have been a science teacher, and so am good with both scientific vocabulary and topics and with instructional material. I have done phone answering messages for both corporate and private clients.
