My Voice Experience
1. Announcer for WXTO-FM, a commercial classical music station, 19631965.
2. Announcer and occasional on-camera work for WZZM-TV channel 13, the local ABC affiliate, 19651975. Narrator for Production 13 documentary film Uno and Uno are Dos, 1970.
3. Speaker for the symphonic composition New Morning for the World: Daybreak of Freedom by Joseph Schwantner, performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, 1988 and 1998, and with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in February 1999.
4. Speaker for the Aaron Copland composition Lincoln Portrait, with the Grand Rapids Symphony, 1998.
5. Speaker for the Adolphus Hailstork composition Done Made My Vow, with the Grand Rapids Symphony, 2000.

My Training
M.A. in German language, minor in Spanish and English. Worked at a classical music radio station. Also worked as an announcer at the local ABC television station. I've done voice work for many businesses and educational institutions since the 1960s. In college, I appeared in Robert Bolt's "A Man for All Seasons." I have worked as speaker for a number of symphony orchestras performing as speaker in compositions such as Copland's Lincoln Portrait, Joseph Schwantner's New Morning for the World, and Adolphus Hailstork's "Done Made My Vow."
