Voice Description

I posses a classic British accent, with a slight Northern tone. I can alter it to a more southern style, in particular a "Cockney London" style, similar to the character used in the Geico Insurance adverts. I am comfortable handling commercial radio adverts, narrations or classic story book telling. Commercial material i.e. presentations or voice overs needing a clear British accent can also be achieved.

My Voice Experience

Back in the UK, I recorded several small narations for to business presentations. Having moved to, St Louis, US, my accent seems to have been well received and I have now just recorded a radio ad for a St Louis based Scooter company. They are attached to a main Ford dealer who have also shown an interest in using me, due to the success the scooter ad has brought. I have also recorded several voicemail messages for cell phones, as a test of my accent here in the Midwest.

Completed a course for Communication Studies, in the UK. Performed readings in a local Amateur Dramatics Society also in the UK

Additional Skills

I have enjoyed a succcessful Sales & Marketing career in the UK, rising to Manager level. My skills include copy writing for several websites, brochures and now for a couple of radio ads here in the US. I am experienced in account and individual project management, in addition to planning and organizing events and exhibitions delivered to a client's brief. I have several years experience with two different UK Advertising Agencies. This could be useful to a client who requires additional support in the preperation of an advert, guidance with the style of the voice to be employed or desired tone/accent required that is applicable to the target market or intended audience of the project.
