I am a radio journalist by trade and training and have worked on local, regional and national stations in the UK - both BBC and commercial. I am from Yorkshire, but have a fairly neutral British accent and am a good mimic able to do many regional British accents and foreign accents passably. As well as being a journalist, I have also presented both speech and music radio programming and podcasts during my career. And have performed many character roles for radio station promotions and features. My range is thus very wide, I can offer serious, authoritative news reader style delivery, or more fun and off-the-wall voiceovers to suit whatever project I'm asked to do. I also speak fluent conversational Spanish, so am a dab hand at a Spanish accent. I am a radio journalist by trade and training, with 20 years experience at the mic and a reputation as one of the best newsreaders around. When working freelance my newsreading talents were much in demand and I could easily have done double the amount of work that I got, had I have been able to clone myself! I have BA(Hons) in Journalism, specialising in radio, but as a child spent a lot of time performing in school and I studied Drama at GCSE. As well as time in the studio, I have presented large scale outdoor events for thousands of people and been a host of smaller indoor events too. I have access to broadcast quality radio studios where I am able to record presently and will shortly have my own set-up at home.
