Voice Description
I definitely have voice over talent. I have a baritone voice. I sing solos and quartet music regularly. I have done public address for football and baseball games.
I can do animal sounds and human impersonations, but usually sing for enjoyment and professionally.
If I'm singing solo, choir, or quartet, I sing from my chest to create a smooth, mellow sound and to produce more volume. However, I am experienced in converting my delivery to falsetto for higher notes, which requires a somewhat heady, almost nasal sound.
I take special care to enunciate correctly, using proper grammar.
I 'hit' notes with ease, never struggling with flat or sharp variations as some singers do.
Having lived in several regions of the U.S., I can easily drift from the southern 'drawl' to the 'northern accent' to British, then back to simple Spanish.

My Voice Experience
I have received many compliments on my singing ability as well as narration. I am a member of a singing group that travels north Mississippi to perform professionally and I am well-known in the area for my singing talent.
I have recorded music as a soloist as well as duet or group for various audiences.
When I took the microphone to do the public address system for our local high school football games, I entertained the crowd as much as providing the basic PA responsibilities. For example, when our team scored I'd declare with a G-R-O-W-L in my voice "And that's a TIGER TOUCHDOWN", much to the delight of the crowd. This would always stir the folks to a frenzy. They'd sit on the end of their seats almost as much to hear my "First down, Tigers" as to actually see the action itself.
My Training
My formal training may be somewhat limited, but I have received public speaking training through my previous employer of 27 years, Tennessee Valley Authority. TVA is a public service entity operated as a Federal Government Agency, and is very proactive in training opportunities such as the week-long public speaking training I received preparing me for voiceover work.

Additional Skills
I have had voice jobs performing as a narrator and singer in many church-related presentations. People who receive phone calls from me recognize me immediately, and they say I have a unique voice very easy to remember. I have sung the national anthem for athletic events. People have described my voice as mellow, or powerful to beautiful.
