My Voice Experience

I have worked most recently with the Royal Shakespeare Company on their production of Adelaide Road (site specific theatre) and work regularly with the 4diobooks Website.

I have supplied voice overs for Musicmagpie TV ad campaign, Buy UK Website TV campaign and Candy Studios web advert to name a few.

I also write, voice, record and produce comedy podcasts (including adverts which you can see on my profile) and voice demos.

Other work includes an extensive list of voiceovers for film, most notably for 'Being Sold' a feature film by Phil Hawkins and on Zero Facility Films' upcoming short film 'Jack Of Diamonds' (see ZFF Website).

As well as having been a recording artist on accessible media (bills for vision impaired bank account holders - I had a studio to myself!), I have also recorded as a Rap Artist and Human Beatbox (Rick Nice) and presented Rick Nice's Hip-Hop show on Radio Phoenix in Lusaka, Zambia.

My Training

I was the resident Voice Coach at DNA Performance Resource in Manchester from September 2009 until I moved to London in October 2010. Our work included workshops on accents, voice on stage, voice on screen, and voice for radio.

studying Voice on Performance BA (Hons) at Northumbria University, where I also learned where to speak from and how to monitor and utilise voice and speech to its optimum.

As for learning how to voiceover, this is something I've continued to develop since my first recording in 1993 (a Hip-hop record with skits and sketches)

Additional Skills

I have a durable voice with a 3 octave singing range. I am also a proficient Beatboxer (Drums with your Mouth), using vocal scratches, vocal sound effects and caricatures if it suits a song or is called upon. I have also been consulted by local musicians on voice lessons to optimise vocal performance and enhance range diversity.
