Voice Description
Polished professional "newscaster" tone for business presentations and corporate projects.
Warm, witty, effervescent tempo "sense of humor" range for PSAs, commercials, characters, storytelling, documentary narration, etc. Inquisitive style but adaptable to the script and context of dialogue. I am intuitive in interpreting script ... for pace, speed, emphasis, diction, where to stress words, etc in my delivery.
Accents and Dialects: American (California, New York, Texan) based on my tendancy to adapt my voice to the native speech tones when I travel. I can do a Central London-esque British accent if you have me listen to a few audio recordings first.

My Voice Experience
I was a live on-air radio host and producer for five years on a womens show called Radioactive Feminism plus TV appearances as a consumer panelist on programs such as Style by Jury Fathers Day special 2007 (as a juror), MuchMusic, Benmergui Live!, The Eugenia Last Show, and a feature on a documentary titled Western Eyes. Slice TV also filmed me in June 2007 for an episode of Plastic Makes Perfect on public opinion concerning cosmetic injections.
During my on-air radio days only a few of my segments were pre-recorded so I had to be "on" with my Q&A's and conscious of my timing and speech inflections to be understood in a clear precise manner.
In September 2006 I sang live at a Cancer Society benefit concert the ballad I Hope You Dance by Leanne Womack. After my performance the gala host said I sounded just like her. I did that performance on a dare and had no idea my voice could do it. People have frequently commented that my way with speech enunciation can really tell a story as much as just stating the words. Hence their idea I check out voiceovers. I didnt give it any thought until November when I participated on a female entrepreneurs roundtable podcast titled Cubicle Divas by executive coach Leesa Barnes. Then
when the Crystal Andrus Show on Hay House radio had me on as a live guest in March 2007 on an Internet broadcast for a half hour it convinced me to give voiceovers a go.
Thanks to a few friends in in the TV and Radio production business ... I have sourced a list of professional recording studios at reasonable prices for projects that require full studio capability.
My Training
My initial career dream was to be a journalist in the foreign correspondent kind of way. Instead I worked as a public relations executive in the financial, health, and pharmaceutical sectors before entering the conference industry. In my work life I am called upon to do public speaking during business summits and workshops introducing executive presenters to a large audience.
I have been involved on and off over the years with Toastmasters and try to make it to an Improv class when I can. After my benefit performance I began more formal singing lessons and joined a choir. I am a member in a
storytellers association for those seeking hands on experience in front of an audience of various ages and stages of life.
