Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can imitate numerous accents and have been required to perform New Zealand Standard, New Zealand RP, Maori, Pacific Island and Australian amongst others.
I can also imitate various British, American and European accents.

My Voice Experience

I worked on talking books for the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind for 2 years, recording mostly children's and young adults books before moving to the UK to increase my opportunities and experience. Since arriving I have provided an audio tour commentary for The National Portrait Gallery, book promos for the Royal National Institute of the Blind and appeared as a cockney, alien student in a sci-fi play for Big Productions.
I have also provided narration for corporate DVDs and messages for a holiday accommodation answer service in NZ.

I am currently being considered for continuity announcements and trailers in an Australian accent for the BBC children's network, CBBC.

My Training

Although I have received no professional voice over training I have attended many workshops for actors, in addition to having sung as the solo lead in the school choir for 5 years followed since by 5 years as a karaoke regular in which I placed in the top 5 in competitions.
I'm also experienced in television production and have worked on either side of the cameras on breakfast television and infomercials through to big budget films.
I have presenting skills and won a Best Presenter competition in 2004.
I'm also a writer and have 8 months experience at the BBC writing for a BAFTA and Emmy award nominated web television project.

My Studio Equipment

I have recently upgraded to a Samson CO3 Condenser Microphone (which offers Super-Cardioid, Omni and Dual pattern recording) and Alesis Multi-Mix 8 Mixer with Cubase LE for recording professional quality sound. I edit and save with Cool Edit Pro software (the forerunner of Abode Premiere).

Files can be saved in any file format preferred by the client, including the raw uncompressed data in Wav format for highest quality files.

At present my work area is not fully sound proofed, so recordings may contain very low levels of background noise which should be easy to filter out and won't be noticeable after post-production.
I do not currently offer these services.

Additional Skills

I have been singing in public on and off since I was a child. My talents include singing falsetto.
Imitation is one of my stronger skills, as both a singer and voice artist. I can imitate a wide variety of animated characters from films and TV in addition to a selection of other actors and singers.
