Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I work on Scottish, Boston and New York accents, but I am absolutely not there yet. I speak with no accent, including no eastern Canadian accent (yech). My speaking is as it is pronounced in the dictionary, although as a Canadian, I do retain "progress" with a long o - this seems to make Americans like me so I keep it.

My Voice Experience

I have done many presentations in business, and have performed as a speaker many times. It seems that my voice is engaging, authoritative, and that people tend to follow whatever I suggest.

My Training

I did a broadcasting course at one time, but they are now gone and I don't have my certificate. I am a copywriter as well as a regular business writer. I also write commercials when I have a good idea. I have been in sales and marketing all my adult life.

My Studio Equipment

Mac for layouts but I have nothing for voice at this time

Additional Skills

I have been in sales for most of my adult life and as such, have learned how to use my voice to capture and sell. As well, I am a project manager and a natural leader so my voice always has reflected a leadership quality. I think that my voice may be good for selling, commercials, training, instruction, presentations. I am not a character-type of voice.
