I was discovered! While interning at my current job, which is a local television station. Since then I've done a half a hour local home show Murrney Associates, promos for my station and commercials for local businesses. I've also voiced a phone system/directory for a business. My commercials have aired on all the local television stations, radio and the Springfield Cardinals (owned by the St. Louis Cardinals)stadium. The work I've most enjoyed has been the "female" voice announcer of a local commercial awards show called the Addy Awards. I've also enjoyed being the local Adam and Eve adult novelty store commercials. Often I have friends who know I'm that voice and have me show off that voice to their friends.
Graduated from Missouri State University in 2001 with a degree Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Media. Most of my training came singing opera, Broadway and pop. I've been singing since I was in grade school. I've performed in local operas, cantering at St. Joseph and other local churches, choirs, and Lander's Theater our local community theater. The rest of my training came from my current place of employment KOLR?KOZL who are the responsible party for not only discovering me, but giving my start.
I have access to my stations studio which is equipped with Gold Wave software and mini disc.
I love doing voice over work, and I'm always looking to be able to use my voice in may different ways. I love using funny voices around my co workers and friends, but I never get the chance to use in this career. So I know theirs tons of things I would love to branch and do. The best thing about voice over work for me is... I don't have to worry about my weight. LOL I get to remain behind the scenes and enjoy hearing my voice on commercials with an all knowing smile.
