Voice Description

I am a male who now, at the age of 32, has always had an exceptionally deep, clear voice since I was 13 years old. For years, I have been complimented on my voice, and asked by people why I am not either singing, or on the radio. I never had the interest of singing professionally, but did sing back in high school. I was 1 of 25 chosen from 300 people as a baritone due to my deep voice for my schools chorus group. Over the years, I neglected to use my voice for work as I was interested more in other interests. Now, I am ready to use my God given talent professionally for anyone interested in giving me a chance. I'm not interested in singing, but I am interested in voice over work for such things as:

- Voicemail Greetings
- Television/Film Commercials, movies, etc.
- other voice over work

To get right to the point of what my voice sounds like normally, this is it. I sound like James Earl Jones. No other way to describe it more than that.

My voice is deep, and I speak very clearly. While my voice is deep, I can alter it accordingly to different circumstances. Being a fan of movies, and cartoons, I picked up the technique of imitating a lot of characters I hear. I can do characters like Darth Vader almost perfectly, as well as a ton of cartoon characters, and such, that I’ve mocked just for fun. I mainly can do evil sounding characters, but I can even raise my voice and sound like characters with higher pitched voices. I can also do a very amateur British accent.

I have never used my voice for professional talent before, and this is just a way for me to possibly get started, for anyone whom is willing to listen. My voice is a gift that I feel needs to be used for people to experience it.

My Voice Experience

I have no real experience. This is something almost entirely new to me. I'm an amateur and am seeing how far I can go with my voice, starting now.

My Training

No real training. I was in plays back in school and in church. Even when I was in elementary school in the 5th grade my voice was exceptionally deep. We did a play where my teacher used my voice (rather embarrassingly actually) as a male character with a deep voice who was scared by a mouse. I am a diehard movie fan, that has learned a lot from them, and am ready to be a part of the action maybe one day.
