Voice Description

My voice is very unique. It's deep and rough, but has a warm conversational quality in its natural state. However I've discovered some other possibilities - I can do the "Voice Of God," but I can also do the voice of Satan. I really think I have the deepest and scariest voice. No effects needed of course!
I've got a sexy radio voice, but it's not in your face unless you want me to be - I just don't have that crisp timbre for the drag race ads.
I can also do some character voices which are a variation of the theme, but some characters can be quite different.
I can change my voice to a bit of variety of things that I discovered while having fun on the radio. I can do an EXTREMELY DEEP voice with a gravelly quality, so don't kill yourself in the effects studio!

I've been told I have an intriguing and sexy voice that women love. Some men too haha!

I can use a variety of character accents to my spoken English including German, Spanish, French, some sort of Slavic, Oriental, American Southern, and maybe a few others. I can correctly annunciate written German, French, and Spanish but I wouldn't sound like a true native speaker. I suppose that's good for parodies but not if you want authentic accents. People tell me that my French pronounciation is very good and would probably be "accent neutral." German is perhaps my weakest because of the word structure. I know some of those three languages, with French being my strongest foreign language.

My Voice Experience

I have over 10 years experience in radio at three stations. My first one was when I was only a freshman in high school, and the other two stations were college and an NPR station (KUNM in Albuquerque). All positions were as solo board op / broadcaster. I believe I read well and that clear annunciation is important, and I've read plenty of PSA's.
I did a Devo concert commercial many years ago, but I don't have a copy anymore. It was done with layering tracks on a 1/4 inch reel!

UPDATE 2012: I'm just starting out here on Voice123 and don't have fancy equipment yet, but I'd love to work with you and have fun with whatever project you think I'm suitable.

My Training

I've had broadcast training with technical exams at 3 stations, analog and digital recording training, I hold a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit (still on file at KUNM) and a ham radio license and I have a great late night voice with a conversational quality. Women love my voice if they're not scared away first thing.

My Studio Equipment

Computer and high impedance microphone. Nothing fancy yet. I would prefer to work in a studio in the Phoenix or Tucson area for projects or short things, but can do some things at home. I don't plan to process my voice in any way except for EQ at the most.

Additional Skills

I believe I can take direction well and not be nervous, I think radio cured me of that. Everyone says I have an unmistakable voice and that I should do voice overs as a voice actor, so here I am.
I have a B.Sc. degree and a professional attitude.
