My Voice Experience
I have been doing voice over for eight years now and have booked several commercials. Most recently I was the voice in the trailer of Bryan Singers new project H+.
My Training
Before I discovered my passion for acting I studied Journalism at the University of Missouri. After I graduated with a BA in Journalism, I worked as a reporter and weekend sports anchor for KOMU- NBC 8 in Columbia, MO. I worked as journalist for about a year after college, before I decided to move to New York and pursue acting.
When I moved to New York I began studying at Stonestreet Studios, which is a film acting studio through NYU. My teacher at Stonestreet said that I had a very good voice and should look to get into VO. He referred me to Peter Rofe, who is an amazing VO coach and actor. Peter took me under his wing and coached me for several years before a moved to LA.
I also graduated from the Atlantic Acting School 2 year Conservatory program. I have worked in commercials, theatre, TV, and film.
My Studio Equipment
I have full studio in my house as well as access to my agents (Abrams Artists) studio. At home I have a T.C. Electronic Konnect 8 sound card and a AKG mic.
Additional Skills
I believe that my journalism background combined with my career as an actor has helped me get a leg up in the VO world. I am equally comfortable in front of the camera as I am in a studio talking into a mic. I believe I give a very real, conversational and professional read.
