My Voice Experience

As a college student for the Federal Aviation Administration, I worked as a Receptionist. This was a demanding position in a fast paced work environment. Voice clarity was extremely important. I constantly made annoucements over the paging intercom system. The staff was very impressed with my voice and encouraged me to consider a broadcasting career.

I have worked as front office administrator for the City of Atlanta, International Paper Company, Memphis, Tennessee, State of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia and the City of Memphis. My voice has been recorded for after office hours information for my previous employers.

My Training

I have studied broadcasting at Elkins Institute of Broadcasting, Memphis, Tennesee, Memphis City Schools Communications Center and Columbia School of Broadcasting, Atlanta, Georgia. I am a former free lance special events reporter for The Mid-South Tribune, a Memphis newspaper company.

As a broadcast student, I have read scripts that required various character and personality voices. The most challenging voice was to sound like a threatening mobster in a play.
