My Voice Experience

I began acting in junior high school and was cast in my first role when the director heard a recording of my scream. As an avid reader, I have always volunteered and read aloud for the blind. In fact I was hired to read textbooks for a fellow student, who was visually impaired, all throughout college. As a professional story teller, I have recorded readings ranging from children's read-a-louds to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales read in Middle English.

* B.A. in Theatre Arts and Communications: June 1990
with High Honors from Kalamazoo College 1986 -1990

This includes classes in public speaking, debate media production and broadcast. While at K-college I took part in a six month Theatre/ Acting Program in London, England with acting and voice classes at RADA and LAMDA.

for today’s recording
artist.The main studio room has an
open window design with
high ceilings and features
a piano and drum set for
the artist’s use as well as
an elevator to bring in
gear and instrumentsThe studio also features a
sound proof vocal booth for
recording vocals in a sound
dampened environment.
The control room is state
of the art... digital and
features a Macintosh
computer system running
Logic Pro software for
virtually unlimited tracks
of recording and mixing.

Additional Skills

As a children's Youth Services Librarian, I specialize in read-a-loud books, novels and narrative material. I have served as lector, reading scripture. As a Catholic school teacher and Librarian, I have done presentations and workshops for students and teachers of all ages.
