My Voice Experience

I recorded my demo with Marla Kirban, where I also had a number of voice lessons with the wonderful Bruce Kronenberg. They were the ones who got me the audition for "Sparkling Ice", to which I received a call back. The spot came down to me or a male, unfortunately they went with the male. Since then, I have recorded spots for radio commercials, corporate videos, and internet ads. I do not have a background in acting, but I feel this allows me to pay more attention to what the client wants, versus putting a crazy method acting spin on something that could be much simpler.

My Training

Currently, I work in television at CNBC as a camera operator and a stage manager. This is probably the closest link to the voice over industry that I have. Other than that, I am a mid twenties girl with her BA in Media and Communications, with a profound love of television, movies, and Robin Williams (who instilled in me, while watching Aladdin, the notion that doing voice overs would be the best job ever).

My Studio Equipment

-MacBook Pro
-Garageband
-Samson mic

Additional Skills

In my current job as a stage manager, the power of communication and professionalism is very high on the list of importance. I deal with a variety of powerful people on a day to day basis, whether it be the talent, or high profile guests. Through this career, I have developed a strong sense of linguistic clarity to eliminate any confusion between parties. This definitely aids to my most marketable tone of voice; clean and professional.
