Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Can do an English accent pretty well, can do an American southern accent, can do a pretty good "Upstate New York" accent (very hard A), can read Italian very well, and can manage other regional American inflections.

My Voice Experience

I work in television as a promo producer as the moment and have over 7 years experience in the promo realm. I began reading voice overs for my current company in the form of sales tapes, client presentations and scratch tracks. Because my boss liked my voice so much, he helped me land my first paid voice over job as the voice for a self help series of DVDs. That led me to take voice over classes which introduced me to various agents and casting directors and I've been auditioning regularly for about 5 months. I have a promo reel and a commercial reel and I am excited to land more and more auditions. I feel capable I can read for a variety of needs, including commercials, promos, narrations, audio books, on hold messages, greetings, company presentations and pitches, industrials and some character reads.

My Training

As a promo producer, I have years of experience directing other voice over actors and reading promos myself. I have learned the various nuances that contribute to a great promo read. I am familiar with the timing constraints and the delivery of most promo and commercial copy. I took a month long workshop for commercial voice overs and trained with a professional voice over talent to learn and hone the skills needed to deliver a great commercial read, to understand the diverse commercial copy and to adjust the feel of my read according to what each script is trying to convey. I have also attended workshops with casting directors and voice over agents that have continued to help me perfect my commercial read. I feel at home at the microphone and take direction well. And I am a pleasant and easy person to work with!

My Studio Equipment

I have access to an audio booth that would allow me to read auditions and copy and then either e-mail or post to an FTP site the end result in any audio format required.

Additional Skills

I have an amateur acting background and can accomplish certain character reads and I have participated in a comedy show on New York public access television that allowed me to write, direct and act in comedy sketches.
