Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Being raised in Southern California I shouldn't have an accent or dialect, however, I have resided in Texas for 26 years and fear that I have picked up a bit of Texas twang in my speech. Everybody thinks I can do a pretty good impersonation of Billy Bob Thornton's character Karl from the movie Sling Blade.

My Voice Experience

I have absolutely no voice over experience. I don't know that I have a "voice" people are looking or not. I have had many instances over the years where people have overheard me talking and come up to me and asked if I worked in radio or TV.

My Training

I have never taken any classes, workshops or seminars related to the voice industry. I don't sing in my churches choir. I have not been involved in any type of performing arts.
