Voice Description
People say I have a very distinctive voice. Somewhat deep, however I can do a mean southern accent, an old women or half witted man(depending on the dialogs I use), and a few other accents such as British and middle eastern. I can be very enthusiastic as far as radio ads would be concerned. All in all, I can be as ridiculous or as serious as needed.

My Voice Experience
The best experience I have is self taught. I'm a stand up comedian so knowing how to use your voice and commit to a certain accent is critical. I've recorded many sketch comedy routines, which took 1-3 hours for a 3-4 minute sketch(allowing time for slip ups and when bloopers happen, that's the most fun, plus you learn from mistakes.)
My Training
About the same description as the "experience" portion of the resume. To add to that, I was in retail for many years and phone skills were a must to bring business in the door. Without good communication skills and a trustworthy voice, it wasn't going to happen. I pride myself with having good phone skills, along with a voice that 95% of the people I talk to remember.

Additional Skills
One huge reason I became interested in a voice over career, besides being told my voice was so distinctive that if I robbed the neighborhood bank with a ski mask on, I better not talk cause it would give me away, not like I would ever even consider robbing a bank. LOL Other reasons I feel my voice is a value is from having professional headlining comics and radio d j's tell me they wished they had my voice. As funny as it may sound, when I get a wrong number phone call from a female, it's nothing to keep them on the phone for several minutes, usually resulting in them wanting to talk more later. I then explain that I have a foot growing out of my forehead to stop them from calling back repeatedly! Just kidding, no foot! Along with a great radio voice, I feel I have a great face for radio as well!!!
