My Voice Experience

I have spent over 10 years doing English Voice Overs for advertisements for Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, and many,many other top Advertising Companies in Malaysia. These recordings which also include Voice Over for Documentaries, Training Videos were recorded at ADDAUDIO - a leading Voice Over Post Production Studio in the region. I also have done voice overs for Radio Malaysia (English) Blue Network and I have Stage and Acting experience. My voice is flexible; meaning that I can do a Shakespearian soliloquy in a deep voice to imitating Jay Leno on the 'Tonight Show'. Since I live in Germany and speak the German language fleuently, I can also pronounce German words the way they are supposed to be pronounced when they are embedded in a script written in English. I also have done voice overs in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia and can speak and immitate the dialect perfectly.

My Training

Malaysia, where I was born, was a British colony. My father and grandfather were brought up in the old Victorian style and they were excellent English speakers, as well as public orators. I simply carried on the tradition winning English Oratorical Contests in my school (La Salle) and was both Junior and Senior Champion as well as Captain of the School Debating Team. I obtained an 'A' Grade at the Cambridge University 'O' levels and later studied English Literature. I received voice lessons on how to speak on stage (throwing your voice) and was performing on stage when I was discovered by a talent scout for Radio Malaysia. From this momment on my experience as a Voice Over Artist began (please see 'Experience' section).

Additional Skills

I am a qualified Information Technology Specialist specialising in Computer Networks, therefore I can easily do Voice Overs in any technical field. I used to work for the School of Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich, where I have also taught. I have travelled a great deal and seen many places. My interests include playing the tabla and sitar, two traditional musical instruments.

I can take orders, am maleable, and I personaly strive to do my best whenever a task is handed me.
