My Voice Experience
I am originally from the water congested area known as New Orleans. Before I fled, I worked in radio as an announcer, both for three years at a college radio station, where I was known as being the most talked about host in college radio and was recognized by local newspapers as an "Up and Coming Star" in radio. I then worked in radio at WSHO 800am and Metroscan Traffic. From there I freelanced for the Times Picayune and CityBusiness newspapers respectively. I was also an elite member of the Press Club of New Orleans. After the storm, I moved out to Baton Rouge, and because I knew I had no future there, scrambled to find a way out while living out of my car. From there I worked as a bouncer, grabbed two granola bars and two cold drinks while out in Baton Rouge with only $90 and a hope and a dream, and took off to Worcester, MA. I did some local voice overs and attended college while there. The next semester, I worked as an anchorwoman for the campus program, "Inside Assumption". During that time I interned at a news station, New England Cable News Network and, after earning a degree in Business Administration with a minor in communications despite constantly fluctuating between homelessness, left the rolling hills of New England for the big city lights of New York City where I now currently reside in Queens. Though still job searching, I working at an internet news program called "DrumTV" which airs on Drumtv.com and I can be seen doing my "Ranting and Raving" section anytime on the internet.
My Training
I am a natural imitator and possess a natural, good command of English diction. I took four classes as part of my prerequisite for completing my minor in communications. I also took a broadcast journalism class where we were taught to drop our regional accents.
