My Voice Experience

Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to talk so much she imitated everyone around her. She talked like the characters on TV, her family and friends. At school and church she performed in all the pageants and plays. After she grew up she was very interested in talking like Betty Davis and other actresses like her. She became a receptionist and got many compliments on her voice. Soon she began to get offers from her friends and associates to record their phone messages. She acted some but soon settled down, married and began a family. Now her family is grown and she wants to pursue her dream of using her voice as a profession. Now she's signed up on this website to see if her dreams can become reality.

My Training

My training began as a little girl in drama class in Chicago, Illinois. From the age of 9 to the age of 17 I received extensive training in presentations from the Association of Jehovah's Witnesses. I performed at the local, regional and national level for bible dramas and plays. I also attended Barbizon and Powers modeling school where I was able to get additional vocalization education and experience. I work in an administrative capacity and am constantly on the phone where I have learned to use modulation and pitch to be persuasive, calming or persistent as needed.

Additional Skills

Although I do not have years of professional training and experience I have years of "acting", particularly in the business environment where you must "act" pleased, disturbed, dissatisfied, jubilant and excited over the day to day tasks that must be performed in person, while representing my employer or on the phone. This experience has given me the opportunity to use talents even I didn't know I had!
