Many people enjoy the bass in my voice. It has been described as sensual, clear, concise, professional and all with personality. The ideal use of my voice I can think of would be on phone systems, audio books, etc.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Because of my cultural background and ability to learn new languages, I can speak French, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Hindi and Punjabi (not fluently, but can read it and have the accent). WIth that, I can also speak in English with those various accents (i.e., French person speaking English--both with a strong and not so strong accent--British English--Queens English and rough ENglish) and my Indian/American accent is more reflective of how they really sound than how they are stereotyped.

I can do a scary voice for a bad character in a cartoon, valley girl voice, a white girl trying to be ghetto (in a silly way)

I do expect to further my vocal talent so I can get to levels like Pinky in Pinky and the Brain or Animaniacs.

Also, being from Southern California I can talk really really fast

My Voice Experience

Truthfully, I have no professional experience. I realized this was the field for me when it hit me that I talk in these accents when I'm talking to different people. I take on the accent I am speaking with.

I did take classes at John Robert Powers for acting and one of the classes we had to do a radio ad and that was the class I got the most praise in.

My Training

Starting in August or September, I will be taking voice-over classes at Clayton Studios

At this time, I am my only coach. I read different magazines in different accents, create my own dialogues to hear myself. I do intend to work with a voice coach to further my skills as this does not seem like a one time thing I plan to do.

Additional Skills

I have a giggle that people enjoy making fun of and I'm sure that can come into use somewhere. My boss describes it as Pac-Man.

I have been interested in acting too, so if on camera work is needed, that's not a problem, but my voice is my talent. I am very easy going, friendly and cooperative. I also follow and take direction well.

Lastly, I'm quick witted and have a great sense of humor. I take to people really well and I make friends very easily.
