Voice Description
My voice is warm and engaging. Listeners connect to me immediately. I can sound sexy but not crass for commercials. My sound is deep but not masculine. My Voice Experience
Client Beware!! I have a very, very, sexy voice. Listen to my demo with caution. I don't wish to cause any divorces or to make a stalker out of you.
Seriously, I spent 2 years as a popular air-personality here in Colorado at KGFT/KBIQ 100.7/102.7F.M. I learned about voice overs working in the "field". The sexiness of my voice was a challenge at these Christian stations - but I did learn how to "turn on" or off when needed. I am a 3-take wonder. I rarely have pronounciation or timing problems and pride myself on being able to convey whatever mood a client wants. For the last 2 years I have been doing voice-overs for Christian products including CD's, books and tapes. I even do voice-mail work. I narrate well and listeners comment that my warmth can be felt immediately.
For the last 5 years, I have been the lead singer and mistress of ceremonies of an R&B, Dance band- Phat Daddy and the Phat Horn Doctors. We are quite popular and performed for over 200,000 people in Colorado last year. This includes performing for over 75,000 at a recent Denver Broncos Game at Invesco Stadium. I've had the chance to open for groups including Kool and the Gang and the Mary Jane Girls. I also voice the narration on our CD and DVD demos.
My Training
Again, I was trained at KGFT/KBIQ and have done lead-ins, segues and commercials for many of the stations shows and clients.
Musically, I spent 1 year at the Colorado College training with Don Jenkins, the director of the Colorado Opera Festival and Colorado Springs Chorale. Of course, this doesn't count the 5 years of choral training in semi-professional groups such as the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale. I have been speaking for audiences and singing for 22 years.
It is paying off. My band Phat Daddy has 15,000 in contracts for the month of December alone and we are booked thru next July for at least 3 weekends per month. My agency - The Manitou Talent Agency can attest to my success as a performer. MTA also represents Irene Cara (of FAME,so I am accustomed to working on a level that demands excellence. I am a professional, working musician and would like to expand my work in the voice-over field.

Additional Skills
I am a people person and my resume really reflects this. In voice-oriented work, I audition well because I take direction cheerfully. I really am a 3-take wonder with 30 and 60 second commercials and can do longer narratives well and in few takes. I enjoy the subtle nuances of commercial voice work and can sing styles ranging from Broadway to Rock. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
