My Voice Experience

In my work as an investigative reporter, I have strongly relied on my ability to get industry experts to speak candidly with me by phone largely due to my voice. I have often been compared to Suzanne Pleshette as I have a sexy, earthy voice that also sounds maternal. I would say I speak like a MILF. I did voice work when I announced the California State Lottery results from 1990 to 1995 in San Francisco for Meganews, Inc. and at that time was asked to do voice over work but ended pursuing my reporting career full-time. The earthy quality of my voice has actually mellowed into a richer and therefore more comforting sound, and I'm excited to be embarking on a professional voice over career.

My Training

My work as an investigative reporter has relied strongly on my voice to open doors and create long lasting relationships with sources over 16 years. In addition, I've used my voice professionally to announce the California State Lottery for five years in both English and Spanish.

My Studio Equipment

While I don't own recording equipment, I live in a musical city (New Orleans) and have access to many studios.

Additional Skills

I have worked virtually for a global company and my voice is what has helped me manage a global group of international reporters, create and sustain relationships with industry experts and clients, as well as soothe frazzled nerves of many. The important thing is I am trying to break into the voice over industry and would consider low to no budget work.
